Continuing Life is seeking a Workers Compensation Case Manager to oversee and manage workers' compensation cases for our organization. The Case Manager will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating communication between all parties involved, including employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives.
This is a full time onsite position in Carlsbad, California. This is a salaried position (75-80k) with a 10% bonus potential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage workers' compensation cases from initial report to resolution.
- Work closely with injured employees, human resources, medical providers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives to ensure timely and appropriate care.
- Coordinate medical appointments, hearings, and meetings related to the workers' compensation cases.
- Document all case-related activities, communications, and decisions accurately and timely.
- Evaluate case progress, identify any barriers to resolution, and develop strategies to address them.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on return-to-work plans and accommodations.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as HR and Legal, to facilitate effective case management.
- Lead workplace safety and ergonomic training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Nursing, Risk Management, or Occupational Therapy.
- Proven experience in case management, particularly in the workers' compensation field.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation regulations and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
